Every way to connect Google Drive to an AI: ChatGPT's app, Claude's connector, the MCP route, and the zero-setup option.

There is no official Google MCP server for Drive. Community servers exist (Composio and others host one), which means in Claude Code you'd add a hosted endpoint:
claude mcp add --transport http gdrive <hosted-mcp-url>
Straight talk: for personal Drive access the built-in connectors are easier and safer. The MCP path makes sense for teams centralizing access or custom tool sets.
Drive is one of 40+ apps already integrated into Krater's agent, alongside Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Notion and the rest. One OAuth click, then ask; the agent picks Drive when your request calls for it. See the Drive integration.
It sees what your Google account can access; it can't bypass Drive permissions. Shared drives and admin-restricted folders may need workspace setup.
Connectors are primarily read/search today. Writing to Docs or Sheets is possible in some flows but expect read-first behavior.
