Every way to connect Slack to an AI: Claude's one-click connector, ChatGPT's app, the Slack MCP server, and the zero-setup option.

Works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile. Admin approval may be required on Team/Enterprise workspaces.
The community Slack MCP server (@modelcontextprotocol/server-slack) connects to any MCP client:
claude mcp add slack -- npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-slack
You need to create a Slack app in your workspace admin to get a bot token and signing secret, set the right OAuth scopes (channels:read, chat:write etc.), then pass them to the server via environment variables. It works, but this is the path where setup eats an evening.
Krater's agent ships with Slack already integrated (alongside Gmail, Notion, GitHub, Linear, Figma, Drive, Calendar and 30+ more). You connect Slack once via OAuth, and the agent uses it when a task calls for it: no app store, no tokens, no MCP config. Because Krater runs Claude, GPT, Gemini and 500+ other models, the same Slack connection works no matter which model answers. See the Slack integration.
Whichever path you pick, connecting Slack gives the AI what your Slack account can see. Prefer read-only scopes where offered, and disconnect apps you stop using.
