The /3d command creates production-ready 3D models — meshes you can drop straight into Blender, Unity, Unreal, or a 3D-printing workflow. Generate from a text prompt, a single image, or up to four reference images for multi-view accuracy. Generation runs on Tripo’s H3.1 model and usually takes about two minutes.
/3d picks the mode automatically from how many images you attach:

Open the options panel to tune the output. The cost updates live as you toggle.
| Option | Choices | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Texture | None · Standard · HD | Surface materials and texture resolution |
| Geometry | Standard · Detailed | Mesh density and edge detail |
| Quad topology | On / Off | Quad-based mesh — better for animation and clean retopo |
| PBR materials | On / Off | Physically-based materials (metallic, roughness, normal maps). On by default and free |
| Multi-view orientation | Auto · Front, left, back, right | Tells the model which view each reference image shows. Multi-view only |
/3d doesn’t build full scenes.Describe shape, style, and material:
Mention the art style if it matters — “low-poly”, “stylized”, “PBR realistic”, “voxel”, “isometric”.
For image-to-3D, use clean, well-lit references with the subject centered on a plain background. For asymmetric objects, multi-view inputs produce dramatically better geometry than a single image. Generated topology may still need cleanup before rigging or animation.
The live cost is recomputed from your option choices and shown before you generate.
| Mode | Baseline cost |
|---|---|
| Text-to-3D | ~67 credits |
| Image-to-3D | ~101 credits |
| Multi-view-to-3D | ~67 credits |
Baselines assume Standard texture, Standard geometry, and quad topology off. HD texture, Detailed geometry, and Quad topology each add to the cost — the full range runs 34–218 credits depending on your choices. PBR materials never change the price.
