On the web (hailuoai.video)
- Sign in at hailuoai.video and open your profile.
- Go to Membership / Subscription settings.
- Choose Cancel subscription / turn off auto-renewal.
What happens after you cancel
- Paid features run until the end of the paid period.
- Your generated videos stay in the gallery and remain downloadable.
- Unused monthly credits do not carry over; daily free credits continue.
Refund policy
Hailuo (MiniMax) does not advertise partial refunds and treats renewals as final once the period starts; EU and UK customers keep the 14-day withdrawal right. For a mistaken renewal, ask support within days.
The gotchas that trip people up
- Regional pricing differs. Prices vary by region and promo - cancel in the account where you subscribed.
- Credits meter per clip. Iterating on one clip can eat a month of the lower tier.
Why people actually cancel
Three reasons come up over and over in the threads complaining about this:
- Credits drain fast. Video iteration burns the monthly pool quickly.
- Cheaper routes to the same quality. The same MiniMax models run inside other apps.
- You wanted one video. The clip is done and the plan keeps billing.
If that is why you are leaving
If the reason is cost or juggling, the answer is not another single-tool subscription, it is consolidation. Krater Pro is $20 a month and runs Hailuo-class video models alongside Kling, Veo and 500+ other models in one workspace. Browse the full model list. Teams get 5 seats on Max for $119 flat instead of per-seat billing.
The free tier keeps daily free credits for standard generations.
