Add Krater to Claude in 2 minutes
Claude's public connectors directory does not accept media-generation connectors, so Krater is added as a custom connector instead. Same result, one extra paste.
Open Claude and go to Settings > Connectors.
Click Add custom connector, name it Krater and paste the server URL.
Click Connect, sign in to Krater and click Allow.
Ask for anything, for example: make an image of a golden retriever in a sunny meadow.

Frequently asked questions
Can Claude generate images or videos on its own?
No. Claude can analyze images you upload, but it has no image or video generator built in. Connecting Krater adds those tools to the chat.
Why a custom connector and not the directory?
Claude's connectors directory has rules against media-generation tools, so Krater connects through the custom connector option instead. Setup is the same two minutes.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra beyond your Krater plan. Krater MCP is included in Ultra and Max, and every request uses the same plan credits as inside Krater.
Does it work on Claude free accounts?
Custom connectors are a paid Claude feature (Pro and above). If you are on Claude Free, you can use the same tools directly inside Krater instead.
Is it safe to connect?
You sign in with your own Krater account and approve the access yourself. Claude never sees your Krater password, and you can disconnect anytime in Settings > Connectors or in Krater under Settings > API keys.
