Speed up your workflow

Krater is built for the keyboard. Every major surface has shortcuts — once ⌘K and ⌘N are muscle memory, you barely touch the mouse.

⌘ means Cmd on Mac, Ctrl on Windows and Linux.

Global shortcuts

Shortcut Action
⌘K or ⌘/ Toggle search (command palette)
⌘N New chat
⌘B Toggle the sidebar
⌘, Open settings
⌘L Open Keep

⌘K works even while you’re typing in a field. The other global shortcuts pause while your cursor is in a text input, so they never steal a keystroke mid-message. Some browsers reserve ⌘N and ⌘L for themselves (new window, address bar) — if yours does, the sidebar buttons do the same thing.

Search palette (⌘K)

One box searches everything: conversations, messages, slash commands, pages, and help articles.

Narrow the search with a prefix:

Prefix Searches
/ Slash commands only — selecting one drops it into the composer
> Pages only — jump to Keep, Tasks, Additions, settings
? Help articles only

Chat composer

On video commands that accept reference files, @ opens the file-mention picker — same ↑ / ↓, Enter, Esc pattern.

Sidebar

With the sidebar open, ↑ / ↓ walks your conversation list, Enter opens the highlighted chat, and Esc clears the selection. Combined with ⌘B, you can review recent chats without leaving the keyboard.

Editing and reviewing

Where Shortcut Action
Edit a sent message Ctrl+Enter Save the edit
Edit a sent message Esc Cancel
Keep (/keep) ⌘A Select all files
Keep (/keep) Esc Clear selection
Media lightbox ← / → Previous / next file
Media lightbox Esc Close
Slides editor ⌘Z Undo
Slides editor ⌘Shift+Z or ⌘Y Redo
